My Role

My responsbilites as the sole UI/UX team member:

Contributions

UI refinement and visual consistency

Designing under startup constraints

Before, What Can Be Improved?

  • Dense information: users could easily feel overwhelmed by text and color
  • Spacing: information feels cluttered and cramped, which can invoke confusion and turn away potential clients
  • Standardization: Lack of cohesion = stressed developers

After, Why This is Optimal for Users.

  • Drop-down menu implementation (not pictured): easy, accessible navigation between roles
  • Information limited per page: enhances congition and limits overwhelm
  • Standardized spacing: auto-layout makes visuals more digestible for user + speedier developer hand-off

Reflection

My time at BollyStep enhanced my ability to work under real-world constraints and deliver exceptional product design under ambiguous requirements. I learned how quickly user experience decisions can pivot in a start-up environment in balancing client needs and founder requests. Maintaining schedule and design flexibility, time management, and empathy across persons involved were all components essential to my success at BollyStep.
